Sjoerd OosteromHello, I’mAn aspiring game designerAbout MeI am a 20 year old Dutch first-year student studying Creative Media and Game Technologies at Saxion in Enschede. There, I’m being educated to become a game designer. In the past year I have been a part of multiple group projects and I’ve made personal assignments that have helped me get better at designing games and other media. During the team projects, I’ve had several different roles. I’ve designed levels, audio, mechanics and tested my designs to affirm that the design choices I made were good ones. I’m a creative person as well as a solid team member with a lot of patience. I deliver precise and qualitative work when given the time to do so. I want to create fun games that people can enjoy, and not the predatory practises used in many games these days that are meant to rob people of their money while giving basically nothing in return.

This is the 3D model of a tree house that I made. I created the model in Maya and added textures in Substance Painter. You can check out the model on Sketchfab here: https://skfb.ly/oTI98This is a game I made in Unity called Bingus goes BRRRR. It is a run and gun type shooter where you’re trying to survive levels and get as many points as possible. The focus of this assignment was the unity scripting, but all the gameplay was designed by me, as well as all the assets used in the game. I started making the game with nothing but an idea, and steadily added new functionality and new assets to make the game better and better. If you wish to play, you can contact me and I can send a build. This is a level for a game that was made for a group project. It’s called Shelldon & Shellby. It’s a two player co-op puzzle game that I designed with another designer. We started off by ideating and figuring out exactly what we wanted to make and how we would do it. We made six different levels in Tiled, varying in complication.ContactMyProfessionalEmail@gmail.comMyLinkedInProfile.LinkedIn
